privacy

flo fest is a one-day wellness festival run by flōhaus in Vancouver, BC. This notice explains what personal information this website collects, why, and who it goes to. We handle it under Canada’s PIPEDA and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act.

what you give us

Two forms on this site collect information, and only if you choose to fill one in:

  • brand partners— business name, email, phone, social handle, category and the plan you’re interested in.
  • media partners— your name, email, phone, company, Instagram and TikTok handles, and what you’d like to do.

We use these only to reply to you and to organise the festival. We do not sell them, and we do not add you to a marketing list you didn’t ask for.

what we collect automatically

This site runs the Meta pixel, which lets us measure whether our Instagram and Facebook advertising is working. It records that a browser visited a page here, and whether it clicked through to buy a ticket. In doing so it receives your IP address, browser and device details, and — if you arrived from one of our ads — Meta’s click identifier. It sets a first-party cookie (_fbp) on your device.

We do not use the pixel to build profiles of individuals, and we cannot see who you are from it. We only ever look at totals.

who we share it with

  • Meta Platforms— advertising measurement, via the pixel above and Meta’s Conversions API on the ticket checkout.
  • Universe (a Ticketmaster company) — ticketing. Buying a ticket happens on their site, under their privacy policy and their payment handling. We never see your card details.
  • Google — form submissions are delivered to our inbox by Gmail.
  • Supabase— brand partner enquiries are also stored in a database so we don’t lose them.
  • Vercel — hosts this site and keeps standard server logs.

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where local authorities may be able to access it under their own laws.

how long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to reply and to run the festival, and are deleted when they are no longer needed or when you ask. Advertising measurement data is retained by Meta under their own retention policy, not ours.

your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email flofest.live@gmail.com and we’ll action it.

To limit advertising tracking, you can adjust your ad preferences in your Meta account settings, or block cookies and trackers in your browser. The site works fine either way.

If you think we’ve mishandled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
